In the first arrest of its kind in Polk County, 45 year-old Michelle English has been charged with culpable negligent manslaughter after deputies said she handed car keys over to a friend she knew was drunk.
Polk County Sheriff Judd says that both women were directly responsible for the death of the victim even though it was English’s friend who was driving the offending vehicle.
Sheriff Judd says, English made the mistake of giving her friend the car keys after the police told her not to.
