Full Rigor: Biggest jewelry heist in American history goes down in Jupiter

The biggest jewelry heist in American history was pulled off in Palm Beach County in 2011.
Thieves were able to defeat all security and breach a bank vault because they had the whole weekend to take every piece of jewelry undetected.

That glamorized world of gentlemen thieves like George Clooney’s Oceans 11 doesn’t exist, but organized jewel-theft rings made up of criminals from the underworld do exist in South Florida. And they seem to target Provident Jewelers which has seven stores in Florida all owned by Rob Samuels and one in particular, in Jupiter Florida just north of West Palm Beach has been hit multiple times.

In fact,, Provident Jewelry in Jupiter is famous for the largest jewelry heist in Palm Beach County, South Florida, Florida and in the United States….in fact it was largest heist in American history. everything was insured….

State authorities believe that one group of Cuban immigrants pulled off more than 20 jewelry store and pawn shop burglaries in 18 months. They specialized in rooftop jobs, busting through the ceiling.

When it comes to unloading stolen jewelry, Miami is one of the most popular cities in the country to fence the hot goods, according to the multi-agency South American Theft Group Task Force, based out of the FBI’s South Florida office.
