(MIAMI-DADE, FLA) — A Florida Power and Light worker was electrocuted by power lines Wednesday morning and an FPL truck caught fire in southwest Miami-Dade, according to police.
The incident occurred in the area of Sw 107th Avenue and Southwest 162nd Terrace.
The severe electrical charge caused the victim’s FPL truck to burst into flames.
Aerial footage of the scene shows a gaping hole along the hood of the charred FPL truck.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says the worker was immediately transported to the hospital. Police have released no information on the victim’s condition.
