
NORTH MIAMI, FL– Four men who fled from authorities during a traffic stop have been taken into custody.
The incident occurred around 11:38 p.m. at the intersection of NE 150 Street and NE 6 Avenue, Tuesday.
According to the report, Miami-Dade Police Department’s Robbery Intervention Detail officers noticed a Hyundai sedan disregard a red traffic light and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Instead of stopping the vehicle, the suspect fled the scene.
As authorities pursued the vehicle, the front passenger extended his arm from the vehicle and opened fire on the deputies.
The suspects then abandoned the vehicle at NE 123 Street and NE 13 Avenue and fled on foot.
Authorities were able to quickly establish a perimeter and were able to bring in all of the suspects with the help of MDPD’s aviation and K9 units.
No officers were harmed during the pursuit.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
