The Navy SEALS are investigating after a video surfaced online showing The Navy SEAL Museum using a Colin Kaepernick jersey in a K-9 demonstration at a 2019 fundraiser. The demonstration was held last year and recorded. They say “Navy SEALs and Navy SEAL dogs take down Colin Kaepernick for not standing during National Anthem,” then “Oh man, I will stand” as the crowd laughs. The video shows the dog handler wearing a Colin Kaepernick jersey over his protective suit. The Navy Seals responded saying that apparent message behind the video is completely inconsistent with the values of the Navy.

The Navy Museum in Fort Pierce is separate from the Navy Seals and no active duty Navy personnel were involved in the event.
