
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL– Fort Lauderdale -Hollywood Int’l Airport remains closed due to flooding caused by heavy rain and storm conditions late Wednesday night.
The airport was forced to halt all incoming and outgoing flights after its main roadways became flooded and impassable.
The airport also posted on its Twitter page that they were concerned about tornado warnings in the area and wind conditions.
The airport is expected to remain closed for the remainder of the day despite the hope that it would reopen Thursday at 12:00 p.m.
