A former Metro by T-Mobile employee has been arrested after she reportedly shot her former boss.

The incident occurred at the store on 5526 W. Oakland Park Blvd., around 6 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, 27-year-old Rachel Boisette showed up at the store several times throughout the day to confront the manager for firing her and ruining her life.

Authorities say the began receiving calls from the store around 1:00 p.m.

At around 6:00 p.m. Boisette returned to the store once more with a gun and opened fire on the manager. The manager was able to run out of the store into a nearby McDonalds as Boisette pursued him. The manager then ran through and office and into a bathroom where he was able to barricade himself inside.

Surveillance footage shows Boisette standing outside of the bathroom an attempting to shoot through the door, however, her gun jammed:

“Rachel Boisette looks down at the handgun, inspecting it, then walks out of the office, and out of the business,” the affidavit says. The manager “later exits the bathroom bleeding profusely from the left arm.”

He was taken to an area hospital where officials say the bullet went through his arm and into his chest.

Witnesses say Boisette was fired in August for her involvement in an altercation with a customer.

She is now facing attempted murder charges and is being held without bond in North Broward Jail.
