Authorities in Clearwater, Florida have arrested a 45-year-old woman who reportedly threw her boyfriend’s clothes and his dog off of a 7-story balcony.

Shelley Nicole Vaughn was taken into custody on Monday for aggravated animal cruelty, criminal mischief and domestic battery.

Officials say Vaughn went to the home of Eric Adeson and the two began arguing.

Vaugh eventually tossed a cell phone, keys, and other items off the balcony before striking Adeson.

Adeson then reportedly asked Vaugh again to leave. Vaugh then allegedly “stopped, smiled at Plaintiff (Adeson), picked up his small puggle dog ‘Bucky,’ and threw him over the exterior balcony railing to the concrete parking lot below,” according to a lawsuit Adeson has since filed.

The dog did not make it.

Vaugh who Adeson claims was drunk and using prescription drugs and smoking marijuana when she attacked him, was taken into custody on Monday. She faces a maximum of up to two years in prison for criminal mischief and domestic battery with fines of $1,000 each, She also faces a maximum fine of $5,000 for the animal cruelty count.
