A Miami area woman has been taken into custody after she told her neighbor that she strangled her husband and buried his body in her backyard.
The Miami Gardens Police Department says they were dispatched to a home along the 200 block of Northwest 194th Terrace on Monday to investigate the incident.
According to the report, the woman allegedly told her neighbor across the street that she “snapped” on Friday night and strangled her husband. She then buried the body.
While authorities were working on getting a warrant to search the backyard, the woman was taken into custody.
According to reporters at the scene, investigators could be seen using shovels to dig up the backyard.
It is unclear if a body has been found.
The incident is still under investigation.
