MIAMI, FL – A 23-year-old woman is facing attempted murder charges after she stabbed her “best friend,” during an altercation.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Spring Garden neighborhood.

Police say they responded to the corner of Northwest 12th Avenue and 11th Street to find the victim with “multiple stab wounds on her upper body.”

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, while her boyfriend worked with the police.

The boyfriend identified the suspect as Cadence Anne Dalton and provided them with her photo and description.

When authorities were finally able to interview the victim, she told them that Dalton pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed her because she confronted her about getting into an argument with her boyfriend.

The victim says during the argument, the boyfriend walked away and that’s when Dalton stabbed her.

The victim then contacted her boyfriend, who came back to the scene and contacted authorities.

Dalton was eventually located at the intersection of Northwest 12th Avenue and Seventh Street in the Little Havana neighborhood.

Authorities say Dalton still had the pocket knife.

She was arrested and is facing an attempted murder charge.
