A Florida woman is now facing charges after she allegedly poisoned her boyfriend to “shut him up,” and then called police so that he wouldn’t die.
The incident in Jacksonville on December 7th.
Officials say they received a call from 54-year-old Alvis Parrish claiming that she put a psychotic drug inside of her boyfriend’s lemonade because he would not stop talking.
When they arrived to the home, Parrish was on the porch yelling at authorities and telling them to take her boyfriend of 9 years out of the home:
“I gave him just enough to shut him up and called y’all, so he wouldn’t die…do whatever you want but if you don’t take me I will kill him.”
Officials found that Parrish gave the victim Seroquel, which is a drug used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder but also makes many feel sleepy.
When authorities made contact with the victim, authorities say the victim seemed extremely lethargic and unsure why he was so tired.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, while Parrish was taken into custody without incident.
She is now facing several charges including poisoning food or water with intent to kill or injure a person.
