Florida woman fires gun at parking enforcement employee

A Lake Worth woman has been arrested after she fired her gun at a parking enforcement employee who put a boot on her car.

The incident occurred Friday morning on the 200 block of Clematis in downtown West Palm Beach.

Officials say 47-year-old Linette Rodriguez’ Lexus ES 350 was booted after she parked her car on private property.  Rodriguez then paid to have her car released but then began complaining after she noticed damage on her wheel/rim. The parking employee explained how Rodriguez would be able to file a complaint and then began walking away from the scene.

That’s when the employee says he heard a gun shot and turned around to find Rodriguez pointing a Glock 26 9mm handgun at him.

Rodriguez was taken into custody by an officer who was already in the area. She was said to have since been booked at the Palm Beach County Jail.
