ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL– A 24-year-old woman is facing several charges after authorities say she poured lighter fluid on another woman and set her on fire.
The incident occurred on June 6 in the 9000 block of Holsberry Road.
Authorities say Darneque Jones and another woman were involved in an argument when the Jones poured the fluid on her and set her on fire.
Officials say the woman was left with burns to approximately 30 percent of her body including significant burns on her arms, neck, and back.
The victim is currently being treated for the burns.
Jones was arrested on Monday and is charged with aggravated battery and damaging property.
She is being held in the Escambia County Jail on a $252,500 bond.
