A Florida woman who claims she was a designated driver has been arrested and is facing DUI charges after she reportedly hit three parked cars.

40-year-old Melanie Esclera was arrested over the weekend after she ran into the three cars while driving along SW California Boulevard near SW Cycle Street in Port St. Lucie.

After the third crash, Esclera’s vehicle caught fire.

Authorities used their own extinguishers to put the fire out. Once the fire was out, they discovered an empty bottle of Kentucky whiskey in her car.

Esclera’s blood alcohol content was also said to be twice the legal limit in Florida.
