A double-rollover, double fatal accident that happened around 6 a.m. Thursday morning had completely shut down the Florida Turnpike in Palm Beach Gardens after PGA Blvd.
Florida Highway Patrol said the crash involved a tractor-trailer, a utility truck, and a pick-up truck.

Authorities expect the closure to last several hours. Southbound traffic is being diverted off at MM 116. Northbound traffic is being diverted off at MM 109.

Florida Highway Patrol described the crash as fatal, but didn’t provide any more details.

At least one person was taken to the hospital, but authorities haven’t released their condition.

Apparently a truck wrecked heading southbound an a piece of construction equipment, possibly a bulldozer, when airborne and landed in the northbound lanes scattering debris everywhere.
Currently Traumahawk, PBCFR medivac helicopter, is on the scene shutting down the lanes southbound.

FHP says it will take some time to clean up the mess, remove the equipment and reopen the turnpike northbound.
For now, motorists should take Military Trail, Congress and I-95 as an alternate.
