Florida teen faces adult charges for a fatal knife attack on a cheerleader

A Florida teenager is facing life in prison for allegedly stabbing a cheerleader at his Jacksonville area school 114 times.
According to the state attorney and autopsy, 49 of the knife wounds were defensive and the tip of the knife broke off in her body.
Prosecutors charged a 14-year-old boy as an adult, saying Tristyn Bailey suffered a “horrific” attack.
Aiden Fucci is being charged with first-degree murder for the stabbing attack in St. Johns County south of Jacksonville.

The body of Tristyn Bailey was found in a wooded area near her home just hours after she was reported missing back on Mother’s Day.
The 14-year-old boy has been held in a juvenile detention center since his arrest on May 10th.
Prosecutors say the victim’s DNA was found on Fucci’s shirt and shoes collected from the suspect’s home.
