ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL– A 16-year-old girl is facing manslaughter charges after she put a pillow over her sister’s face.

Police say they were called to a home on Raymond Avenue on July 15 due to the report of an “unresponsive juvenile.”

When they got to the home, they rushed the 3-year-old girl to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say the girl’s teen sister told them that she put a pillow over the child’s face to get her to be quiet and then left the room. 

When she came back to the room, the child was no longer breathing.
