A 15-year-old from Marathon is now facing charges after he allegedly made a shooting threat on social media.
According to the report, the teen posted a video of himself holding an airsoft gun while making several threats to his Instagram page.
Authorities were then notified about the threats.
When officials made contact with the teen, he told them he attempted to purchase a real gun online to “take care of business,” and admitted to posting other videos portraying drug sales and use.
He is charged with writing or making electronic threats to kill or do bodily injury and is currently in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Several agencies are working on the case.
