CRESTVIEW, FL- The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who led them on chase using a riding lawnmower.

40 year old Dusty Mobley was arrested on July 9th in the unincorporated community of Holt at around 9:30 a.m.

Officials say they were attempting, for a second time, to serve an arrest warrant on Mobley in connection with a stolen boat worth $40,000.

When authorities arrived, Mobley immediately took off on the riding lawnmower.

After about 17 seconds, deputies deployed a taser and were able to bring him into custody.

According to the report, officials first tried to serve the arrest warrant on Mobley in January but he jumped off of the stolen boat and disappeared into a swamp.

Okaloosa sheriff’s said on Facebook that Mobley had used heavy machinery to cut a hole in the side of a building off of Highway 4 in the town of Baker to steal the vessel.

The suspect is now facing 16 charges.
