SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL– A dad who fatally stabbed his three-year-old daughter, slashed his 12-year-old daughter’s throat, and then turned the knife on himself, has been arrested.
39-year-old Juan Bravo-Torres was taken into custody for the 2019 incident on Friday after he was released from the hospital.
According to the report, Bravo-Torres has been in the hospital since July 21, 2019, after he slashed his own throat and wrists.
Authorities say they were alerted to the situation after the suspect’s injured 12-year-old daughter walked to her mother’s job to get help after faking her own death and waiting for her father to lose consciousness.
The 12-year-old was taken to an area hospital in critical condition after an employee at her mother’s job called for help.
At the home, officials found Bravo-Torres unconscious and his 3-year-old daughter dead.
Bravo-Torres is facing both murder and attempted murder charges.
