A Florida fisherman is recovering after he was dragged off of his boat by a shark, authorities say.
The attack occurred Friday in Everglades National Park’s Florida Bay, officials say.

The unidentified man was leaning over the back of his boat, washing his hands in the water, when a shark suddenly appeared, chomped down on the man’s hand, and dragged him into the water!

Fortunately, other fishermen on the boat were able to pull him out of the bay before the shark could do any more damage.
Although a rep for Everglades National Park says shark attacks in Florida Bay are extremely uncommon, he’s warning others to “take caution around park wildlife.”
