(Hollywood, FL) — A Florida man got a surprise when he lifted the lid on his toilet and spotted an iguana in the bowl. Kurt Hilberth went to brush his teeth late last month when he noticed a spiny tailed iguana in his toilet which he was afraid to use until he caught the lizard.

Turns out it took three days to fish it out of the bowl because it kept making a deep dive into the bowels of the bathroom plumbing to avoid capture.
Eventually, a trapper was able to catch it, and Hilberth says he shudders to think about what could have happened if someone had sat down on the toilet without looking.
