Florida man convicted of posting bomb making instructions online

A South Florida man has been convicted after he allegedly posted instructions on how to make a bomb online for people he thought were terrorist.

29-year-old Samuel Baptiste appeared in court on Friday where he plead guilty to attempting to provide material support to terrorists, according to court records.

Authorities say in November of 2016, Baptiste posted the documents titled “Instructions: How to Make a Homemade Pipe Bomb,” “Pipe Bombs,” “Improvised Explosive Devices” and “Improvised Munitions Black Book, Volume 1,” for people he thought were Islamic State terrorist group.

While he plead guilty on Friday to attempting to provide material support to terrorists, Baptiste has been in jail for the past six years and eight months in for federal firearms charges.
