Florida man breaks into home and fatally stabs puppy

(HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL)– A 25-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a home and fatally stabbed a puppy with a machete.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alexander Hernandez-Delgado Jr. on Dec. 1 for the incident that occurred at a home on Wheeler Road in Dover.
The victim told the police that they Hernandez-Delgado Jr. walking away from their home wearing one of their hats around 7:00 p.m. They then went inside the home to find the inside of their home a mess and their puppy fatally stabbed inside of it’s crate.
Authorities located Hernandez-Delgado Jr. at a nearby Dollar General where he admitted to being inside of the house.
Officials say Hernandez-Delgado Jr. got into the home through an unlocked living room door, ate some of the victim’s food, stabbed their puppy with a machete, and destroyed their home before leaving.
He is now facing charges of aggravated cruelty to animals with a weapon, and armed burglary of a dwelling. He’s being held on a $50,000 bond in the Falkenburg Road Jail.
