A 25-year-old man has been arrested after police say he exposed himself to a teenage girl at a bus stop and began to masturbate.

Investigators said the 16-year-old victim was waiting for her school bus when the suspect exposed his private parts and began to masturbate in front of her.

Pembroke Pines Police Capt. Adam Feiner discussed the arrest during a news conference.

“What I can say to our community members is, this individual who’s responsible for this crime preyed upon a child, preyed upon somebody who’s most vulnerable and most innocent, which makes this crime even more horrific,” he said.

Investigators said the girl pulled her cellphone out and recorded the man.

Feiner says the footage was “instrumental” in their investigation. With the footage officials were able to arrest the suspect right away. The video captured the suspect’s car make and model, and even its tag.

“For somebody to masturbate in public, in full view, in broad daylight, in front of a child, is beyond offensive,” said Feiner.

Police arrested Luis Enrique Rodriguez, 25, and he is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
