Florida landscaper reportedly attacks victim with weed wacker

LEHIGH ACRES, FL–
A landscaper has been taken into custody after he reportedly used a weed wacker on another man’s face.
The incident occurred in a residential neighborhood on August 3rd.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Jamie Thompson and the homeowner debated over pricing for the yard work.
When they could not agree, Thompson reportedly went back to his work truck, pulled out a gas-powered weed wacker, and began chasing the homeowner.
The homeowner was reportedly struck in the face with the weed wacker and suffered injuries.
Thompson then fled the scene but authorities located him nearly two weeks later.
Thompson has been arrested and faces a charge of aggravated battery involving use of a deadly weapon.
His bond has been set at $10,000.
