Florida homecoming queen, mom accused of rigging vote

An Escambia County High School homecoming queen is under arrest and so is her mother.
Pensacola mom Laura Carroll and her 17-year-old daughter were arrested yesterday after allegedly rigging the vote for the Tate High School homecoming queen and court.
50-year-old Carroll is an assistant principal at Bellview Elementary School and is accused of illegally accessing the online accounts of hundreds of students to cast fake votes so her daughter would be elected queen. Authorities say 117 votes came from the same IP address in a short span of time.
This student, who wishes to remain anonymous, is rather forgiving.

Carroll is now suspended, and the FDLE says her daughter is expelled…and no longer queen.
