Despite Florida breaking the record for most deaths reported in one day on Thursday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state is “trending in a better direction.”

During a news conference at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne on Thursday to give a coronavirus update, DeSantis said  “Obviously, we would love to have zero deaths,”…”If we could do that, we would want as few as we can.”
