(ODESSA, FL) – A Florida couple is going viral for their gun-shaped pool.

Even though Florida has plenty of controversy for its gun culture and violence, Louis and Raye Minardi decided to build a gun-shaped pool in their backyard at their Tampa-area home.

When the Minardis decided they wanted to build a pool in the 1980s, they wanted it to be long enough to swim laps. However, the person they hired had different plans in mind.

Albert Jones III, owner of A.H. Jones Pools Inc., asked the Minardis if he could build a gun-shaped pool instead. Jones, who died in 2010, crafted a unique design, complete with varying tiles to distinguish the gun’s different parts.

The pool has been resurfaced through the years, but the shape hasn’t changed.
