A Miami anesthesiologist has been charged with a hate crime after she reportedly assaulted a Hispanic man outside of a supermarket.

The incident was reported in Hialeah on January 20th.

According to the report, the victim asked Dr. Jennifer Susan Wright in Spanish to follow CDC protocols while they both waited in line at the store. When Dr. Wright ignored the victim’s request, the victim then repeated his request in English. Dr. Wright reportedly uttered a slew of curse words at the man and refused to back up.

Once out of the store, Dr. Wright tracked down the victim in the parking lot and walked up to his vehicle. The victim again asked Dr. Wright to keep her distance and at that point she began hurling curse words and racial insults at him while stabbing his car with her car keys.  She then punched and kicked the victim.

The doctor was arrested on Friday but has since bonded out a jail.
