A tense exchange between an American Airlines passenger and crew members ended safely on Thursday.
According to reports, an unidentified male passenger on the Philadelphia-bound flight from Orlando requested access to the cockpit in order to speak with the pilot.
He also was allegedly not wearing a mask, which the airline requires.
Another passenger told Philadelphia television station WCAU/NBC10 that the man asked, “Where’s my parachute,” as he walked through the aisle.

An airline spokesperson says the plane’s cockpit door was never breached during the incident.
Soon thereafter, the man returned to his seat and put on a mask, at the flight attendants’ request.
Police reported no injuries. They arrested the man and took him to a hospital to be examined.
However, he is not facing any charges at this time.
