(SARASOTA, FL) — Congressman Greg Steube was ‘seriously injured’ and hospitalized Thursday after falling 25 feet off a ladder while cutting tree limbs at his home in Sarasota, FL, according to reports.
Steube, 44, was transported to the hospital and spent the night at an intensive care unit after a bystander witnessed the House Republican fall an estimated 25 feet and called 911.
“Thank you to all who continue to pray for Congressman Steube,” a representative for Steube tweeted. “The Congressman spent the night in the ICU where several serious injuries are still under assessment but not life threatening at this time. He is making progress and in good spirits.”
