(MONROE COUNTY, FLA) — A Stock Island man was arrested Sunday and is accused of stealing 85 pounds of shrimp, a GPS unit, and more items from a storage facility, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Felipe Fonseca, 52, is charged with burglary, larceny, possession of burglary tools, and damage to property after breaking into a storage facility, robbing the owner of a trim tilt unit for an outboard engine, an air pump, a Garmin GPS unit, and approximately 85 pounds of shrimp.

The owner called the sheriff’s office at around 10 a.m. when he discovered the lock of his storage facility was broken.

Upon inspection of surveillance footage, deputies narrowed down the suspect to Fonseca after recognizing him from former confrontations with authorities.

Fonseca was found, arrested, and taken to jail shortly after the burglary.
