Spokesperson for FPL, Barbara Thompson confirmed that the fire was caused by a lightning strike that caused a natural gas leak.
All I-95 southbound lanes were blocked off the exit to Blue Heron because the fire was leaping 25 feet in the air and was visible from the interstate.
The lanes were reopened at 11:25 a.m.
It is unclear if power was knocked out in the area during the blaze.
No one was reportedly injured.
This is a developing story and will be updates as more information becomes available.
