After a very long weather delay the Great American race was run at Daytona Motor Speedway.

Denny Hamlin did not three-peat at Daytona, and there was a fiery, crazy wreck on the final lap.
When the dust settled, Michael McDowell won his first cup race ever the Daytona 500 after Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski wrecked.
Chase Elliott finished second while Austin Dillon took third. Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five.

The race had been pushed late into the evening following severe weather in the day.
