He had gone missing on Sunday when he ran away from his home on Northeast 11th Avenue and didn’t return.
Though the child has a history of running away, he always returned home within a few hours according to family members.
This time was different, and a missing child alert was issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement at 5 PM on Sunday.
By Wednesday, with no sign as to his whereabouts, the FBI along with PBSO, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had become involved in the search for Yvens.
The investigation continues as police determine how he got from Boynton to Fort Lauderdale and what, if anything, happened to him between Sunday and Thursday.
This is a developing story.
