The FBI is currently investigating a report of a guy using a jetpack to fly near airplanes.

The incident was reported around 6:12 p.m. Wednesday near the Los Angeles airport.

According to the report from The Los Angeles Times reported a Boeing 747 pilot radioed in the incident after he saw what appeared to be an object resembling a jetpack 15 miles east of LAX at 5,000 feet altitude.

“Air traffic controllers alerted other pilots in the vicinity,” out of a abundance of caution according to the a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson.

While no other pilots witnessed the incident, the FBI reported that they are working with the FAA to investigate the report and three other similar reports in the Los Angeles area.
