The FBI says Hialeah Police nabbed a bank robber thanks to an alert citizen’s tip.
Hakeen Ashon Mixson, 38, of Florida City, Florida, is under arrest for his alleged involvement in the April 15, 2022, robbery of a Space Coast Credit Union located at 7171 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, Florida.
The Hialeah Police Department made the arrest for the FBI without incident on April 26th and was made possible by a tip from an alert citizen.
The citizen recalled from an FBI press release issued days earlier that a vehicle matching the description of the alleged subject’s Alfa Romeo sedan was parked near a Space Coast Credit Union located at 1120 W. 49th Street, Hialeah, Florida.
Mixon is in federal custody and will make his initial appearance in Miami federal court.
