The Fort Lauderdale police is asking for the public’s help after a father of three was fatally shot after leaving a friend’s house.
The incident was reported Friday at 630 NW 10th Terrace.
Officials say they responded to a Shot spotter alert around 4:50 a.m. and arrive to the area to find 34-year-old Brett Shell shot to death.
While many details are unclear in the case, authorities say Shell was reportedly walking through the parking lot to his car when someone opened fire on him.
Shell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say they are still searching for suspects and a motive for the shooting.
