The family of Brian Laundrie has opted not to hold a funeral service for him and has instead planned to have his body cremated.
Laundrie’s remains were discovered on October 20th after disappearing for nearly a month after being named a person of interest in the murder of his fiancé Gabby Petito.
Authorities say Laundrie’s remains were discovered at Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County, Fla. in an area of the park that was previously submerged in water. The FBI used dental records to identify Laundrie, however, due to the condition of the body, authorities have not come up with a cause of death.
His remains have been sent to an anthropologist to evaluate according to his family’s lawyer attorney, Steve Bertolino.
