Billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced he will step down as CEO of Twitter Tuesday evening.
Musk made the announcement after Twitter users voted for him to step down from the position in a poll posted to the platform Sunday, with 57.5% voting yes and 42.5% voting no.
I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.

Musk confirmed he is actively searching for his replacement, and will instead ‘run the software and servers teams.’
The social platform has been subject to intense scrutiny since Musk stepped into the role, resulting in major policy changes and layoffs after suspending Twitter accounts of journalists.
Musk took charge over the social media platform in late October, asserting it was not his intention to remain CEO of Twitter for a long period.
