Officials are currently investigating the death of an elderly man who’s body was found Sunday near a highway.

The unidentified’s body was found near U.S. Highway 1 and Monterey Road in Stuart.

Authorities say the believe the victim may be an elderly man who was reported missing from the Solaris Senior Assisted Living Facility.

They also reported that they believe the victim may have fell or injured himself before he was found.

No foul play is suspected at this point, however, authorities are continuing to investigate.
