
Authorities in Houston, Texas are reporting that an elderly man was killed by a group of teens who were harassing him for fun.
The incident was reported around 8:00 p.m. on Houston’s North Side near Fulton Street and East Crosstimbers Street.
Houston Police say that four teens were walking on a sidewalk in the area when they encountered the victim walking with a cane and suitcase.
The teens then started harassing the man.
The victim responded to the teens by swinging his cane at them.
Two girls who were with the group eventually convinced the others to walk away from the situation.
While the teens walked away, one of the teens turned around and shot the victim.
All of the teens then fled the area.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he later died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Authorities are currently combing through surveillance footage of the area and say they believe they will be able to identify the shooter.
