(PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida)– A possible murder-suicide case has become the focus of Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigators.

Authorities have said that deputies were responding to a welfare check at approximately 6:30 p.m., Saturday in the 6500 block of Monmouth Road and found an elderly man and woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are considering the incident as a possible murder-suicide after an initial investigation.

Autopsies will be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office to find the cause of death.
