(PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLA) — Today begins Early voting in Palm Beach County for the upcoming Primary Elections with some new bells and whistles: election appointments and touch screen “Express Voting.”
There are 21 early voting sites opening today, three more than in 2020 and you can make an appointment to vote rather than waiting in long lines in the heat and the rain.
Here’s Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link says you can make your appointment here, and when you get to the polls, there will be two lines – one for voters with an appointment.
Also, you will be using some new touch screen voting equipment called “Express Vote.” Rather than “bubbling-in” your vote, you will simply touch a computer screen that registers your vote.
A paper ballot is still generated, and Link says the voter’s intent is very clear with this process.
Polls for early voting are open from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., August 8, 2022 through August 21, 2022
The SOE says “Please bring one or two forms of valid and current identification that include your signature and photo.”
The deadline to request that a Vote-by-Mail ballot be mailed to you: 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022
Deadline to return your Vote-by-Mail ballot: 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022
