CLOVIS, CA–
Police say a woman who showed up to her child’s school while intoxicated sideswiped another parent’s vehicle and fled the scene.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in front of a school near Bullard and Helm in Clovis.
Authorities say just before 3:00 p.m. they received a call about the accident.
Due to it being the first week of school for students in the district Clovis Police were quickly able to locate the woman, who’d pulled over on the side of the road a few blocks from the school.
Officials say the woman had a blood alcohol level of more than four times the legal limit.
The woman was arrested and charged with felony child endangerment and DUI. Her child was turned over to a relative.
No injuries were reported.
