Drunk driver runs over body during active investigation

Police in Dade City, Florida have arrested a 23-year-old man after he reportedly ran over a body during an active police investigation and then tried to flee the scene.
The incident occurred on Sunday just after 3:30 a.m.
Authorities say they were in the middle of investigating the fatal hit-and-run of a 49-year-old woman when Andrew Thomas Krummen approached the area driving at a high rate of speed.
Officials say Krummen ignored all commands to stop, ran over the victim’s legs, and almost struck investigating officers before fleeing the scene.
Troopers then pursued Krummen and used a pit maneuver to stop his vehicle and bring him into custody.
Krummen was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, DUI, fleeing and eluding, destruction of evidence, driving while license revoked, and false imprisonment.
Jail records indicate that Krummen has been arrested eight times in the last four years in Pasco County.
According to the report, the 49-year-old victim was said to have died after she was struck by a driver while walking along the grassy portion of US-301.
Officials say that they found her torso on the shoulder of the road and her legs in the roadway.
The investigation into her death this still ongoing.
