Driver turns himself in after striking a tow truck driver and fleeing the scene

The suspect responsible for driving into a tow truck driver before fleeing the scene has turned himself in.
29-year-old Jacob Andrews is now facing charges for a hit and run involving serious bodily injury.
Authorities say Andrews traveling on N.E. Airoso Boulevard in Port St. Lucie Saturday when he struck a tow truck driver who was parked in the right northbound lane unloading a car.
Andrews then drove away from the scene and did not help the driver.
The driver was eventually taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
When Andrews turned himself in on Sunday, he told police that he panicked and drove home, hiding his car on the side of his house.
He has since been released after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
