FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Authorities are searching for the driver of a Lamborghini SUV who fled the scene after the vehicle landed on the roof of a home.
The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue, just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials say the driver of the SUV was involved in a crash with another vehicle, which then caused the vehicle to fly into the air and land on the roof of a home.
The vehicle then slid off of the roof and hit a tree, before falling to the ground and bursting into flames.
According to the report, a witness saw someone trapped inside the vehicle and helped them out of the car.
Instead of waiting for emergency services, the driver fled the scene.
Authorities say the driver of the second vehicle had only minor injuries and no one was hurt inside of the home.
The home, however, had to be vacated due to the extent of the damage the accident caused.
