Authorities in Houston, Texas are currently searching for hit-and-run driver who reportedly struck a woman who was crossing the road then moved her body out of the way before driving off.

The incident was reported on January 17th at around 8:45 p.m.

Officials say the suspect was driving a white SUV when he hit the woman. He then got out of the car and picked up the woman to move her to the sidewalk. Once he got the woman to the sidewalk, the man got back into his vehicle and drove off.

The woman was taken to an area hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police say they are looking for an older “heavy set” male with gray hair and a mustache.
